Layer blend modes are common in a number of raster and vector based applications. PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketchbook Pro, Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer all include them. The multiply blend mode is typically used to darken elements overlayed on top of another image. I'll take a closer look at what's happening when a layer is blended with multiply.
